“This year, 14 experts from 6 countries – Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Germany, Greece, and Bulgaria, compose the professional jury of the television children’s festival ‘Dytiatko’. Children and teenagers from Kharkiv Region will compose the children’s jury,” said chairman of the festival’s organizing committee, Chairman of the Regional Council, Sergii Chernov.
Sergii Chernov explained that for the first time in the festival’s history the children’s jury will be composed of children who do not take part in the competition: “For the first time, the children’s jury will be composed not of the festival’s participants. At the beginning of the summer, the festival’s organizing committee and ‘Slobidsky kray’ regional newspaper launched a contest for those who wished to become members of the children’s jury of the festival. The participants were proposed to express their vision of what the children’s TV of the future should be. After the summing up of results, members of the jury will decide the fate of the nomination ‘The Best TV Programme Created For Children’ and will also have the opportunity to select the best from all the nominations and hand the authors the Children’s Jury Award. So I hope that this jury will be very demanding and principled.”
