The 2024 Universe Multicultural Film Festival will no longer be held in April, as previously scheduled. Instead, the event will occur on June 14-16. The final submission date has been extended a month, to April 18th.
The festival will be held at several venues, including the Peninsula Center Library (701 Silver Spur Rd. Rolling Hills Estates, 90274), the Palos Verdes Promenade (550 Deep Valley Dr. Suit 163 & 117, Rolling Hills Estates, 90274), and the CSTV Theater (11455 Burbank Blvd. North Hollywood, 91601).

Each year, UMFF screens films from more than 30 countries around the globe. Each film is personally selected for its cinematic quality, as well as its contributions to cultural heritage and diversity.

In addition to films, there are also live performances. The opening gala and award ceremony feature both local and international performance groups. The filmmaker’s reception will include a live reading of one of the selected screenplays. Local fashion enthusiast group World’s Sunshine Women will put on a fashion show, displaying a wide variety of cultural costumes. Finally, guests can take part in the festivities at the glamorous red carpet.

Filmmakers are provided with many opportunities to network. At the film market, filmmakers meet with professional distributors. Filmmakers can pitch their project concepts to investors at the Pitch & Catch panel. There are also many other panels where experienced filmmakers share their expertise in subjects such as technology, writing for a global market, and casting.
