Isabel Coixet to open the 65th Berlinale
The 65th Berlin International Film Festival will open on February 5, 2015 with Nobody Wants the Night, the newest work by Spanish director Isabel Coixet. The film will also screen in Competition.

Berlinale Goes Kiez

Culinary Cinema: Street Food Market

Berlinale Special: Fifty Shades of Grey to celebrate its international premiere
The Berlinale will present the film version of the best-selling novel Fifty Shades of Grey on February 11, 2015, with director Sam Taylor-Johnson, author E L James and actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in attendance. The film will be screened only once at the Berlinale.

Perspektive Deutsches Kino: Opening and closing films
The Perspektive Deutsches Kino section will open its programme with the feature film Im Sommer wohnt er unten (Summers Downstairs) by Tom Sommerlatte. In his directorial debut, actor/director Sommerlatte brings together an ensemble of German and French actors. The documentary Sprache:Sex (Sex:Speak) by Saskia Walker und Ralf Hechelmann will close the programme. The Perspektive programme is now complete.

Panorama
To date, 11 feature films and eight documentary films have been selected for the 36th Panorama. The Teddy Award will be presented for the second time at Komische Oper Berlin, and Udo Kier will be honoured with the Special Teddy 2015.

Berlinale Classics
The special series will show a total of five films. Confirmed are the world premieres of these three German films that have been digitally restored: Varieté by Ewald André Dupont (1925), Jahrgang 45 by Jürgen Böttche (1966) and 9 Leben hat die Katze by Ula Stöckl (1968).
