On Wednesday, the Kicking + Screening Soccer Film Festival, presented by Budweiser, revealed the films selected for the 6th annual K+S New York, including several events dedicated to Brazil.
K+S New York 2014 runs from Tuesday, April 8, through Friday, April 11, in downtown Manhattan.
This year’s festival boasts 11 films from eight countries, including the theatrical world premieres of two films from Budweiser’s “Rise As One” series, set to air on Fox Sports 1 in the United States beginning March 25. Directed and produced by Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Scott Boggins and Gabriel Spitzer, the series of six films will air in more than 55 countries around the world as part of Budweiser’s fully integrated, global content series supporting its new Rise As One 2014 FIFA World CupTM campaign.
“This year we are all trying to play the jogo bonito, as the Brazilians say: the beautiful game,” K+S cofounder Rachel Markus said. “And K+S is thrilled to return to New York with one of our most ambitious film lineups and an all new partner in Budweiser. As usual, we hope the films and other cultural events of K+S New York 2014 will help us explore our deepest passions through the power of the world’s game.”
