15th HFFNY will celebrate 55 years of Cuban cinema with an outstanding line-up of 14 films from the island to be featured throughout the festival. Three of these films, El Cow Boy / The Cow Boy, Now! and Historias de la revolución / Stories of the Revolution, will screen at the CUNY GRADUATE CENTER as part of a free program including a Q&A with Cuban Film Archives Director Luciano Castillo and Jerry Carlson, Blinder Center Fellow, co-presented by Blinder Center and Western Hemisphere Studies - CUNY. Simultaneous translations will be available. The 15th HFFNY will run April 3-11 at the Quad and additional venues around the city. Many of the filmmakers will travel from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, U.S., and Spain to present their films.
