CALL FOR ENTRIES: Young and upcoming composers* and sounddesigners* – watch out!
SoundTrack_Cologne (June 9 - 12, 2021) is once again launching its EUROPEAN TALENT COMPETITION for young talent and cordially invites you to participate in the WDR FILMSCORE AWARD and SOUNDDESIGN categories!
What's the task?
The aim is to musically interpret and connect the visuals and narration of the short film “Mall”. Contestants may either compose the score or create the sound design for the short film, and may also work together in a team with another composer or sound designer. Sound designers in particular are encouraged to submit sound-only projects!
What is there to win?
The twelve best submissions will be presented during SoundTrack_Cologne to the audience and jury. The winner of the WDR FILMSCORE AWARD will have the opportunity to record an own composition with the WDR Funkhausorchester. The award for best SOUND DESIGN is a 5.1 cinematic mix down in the prestigious sound mixing studio CHAUSSEE SOUNDVISION.
Who can take part?
All active students in the fields of sound, music and/or composition at a European film or music school (without age limit) or young European creatives up to and including 30 years of age. Submission Deadline is April 12, 2021!
