TV Drama Vision programme unveiled - Visions of the future in the European drama industry

We are pleased to present the full programme of TV Drama Vision 2021!



This year’s programme comprise our honorary guest, multiple award winning Danish director and screenwriter Susanne Bier. We present high end sessions with a spotlight on the future of the scripted television industry with keynote speakers including Guy Bisson, Walter Iuzzolino and Johanna Koljonen. HBO will be outlining their plans for original content in Europe, Nordic broadcasters and streamers will present their plans and series to come, and as always an extensive selection of new and upcoming series from the Nordics along with European highlights, the annual Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, and much more!

The TV Drama Vision conference will broadcast live, presenting an online stage programme and interactive meeting opportunities.

The Global Success of Spanish Drama

In recent years, Spanish TV fiction has taken an impressive leap in quality, allowing it to expand to the rest of the world. With successes such as Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), The Head, Hierro, Patria, Perfect Life (Vida Perfecta), are bringing stories to life that are recognizable anywhere in the world.

Here to give us a crash course on Spanish drama is Géraldine Gonard, Director Conecta Fiction and joining her on stage are Domingo Corral, Director of Originals at Movistar+ and Javier Mendez, Chief Creative Officer at The Mediapro Studio. In collaboration with Conecta Fiction.

 

 

Future visions for festivals and markets in Europe

The pandemic did a complete re-write of the festival circuit script. We all stayed at home and the festivals and markets had to transform into online and hybrid editions in a heartbeat. In an energetic session we welcome a few of our festival friends from around Europe to share their experiences and plans for their upcoming edition.

Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize 2021

The 5th Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, celebrating the best screenplay in the Nordic region will be awarded on February 3.

This year’s nominees are Maja Jul Larsen for Denmark’s Cry Wolf (DR), Matti Kinnunen for Finland’s Cargo (Yle), Jóhann Ævar Grímsson for Iceland’s Sisterhood (Síminn, Viaplay), Kim Fupz Aakeson for Norway’s Welcome to Utmark (HBO) and Cilla Jackert for Sweden’s Thin Blue Line (SVT). The Jury consists of Evin Ahmad, actor, Ran Tellem, Head of International Content Development The Mediapro Studio and Felicia Elisabeth Jackson, Festival Director Aarhus Series.

The TV Drama Vision programme will be presented on the festival's online industry platform, which opens to all accredited on January 29.
