The GFI Screen and Story Film Festival is delighted to announce its 2020 festival and call for short films submissions.
The organisers of The Global Film Industry Cafe officially launched today The GFI Screen and Story Festival to be held online on Saturday 5th September, 2020. Submissions for short films are now open.
The Screen & Story Film Festival are looking for films up to 15 minutes in length and made anywhere in the world, which support the festival's theme ‘connection’. Alongside the showing of the shorts submissions, films made in The GFI Film Challenge from the weekend before will be premiered as part of the festival.
Fernanda Franco, Festival Producer said: “The Screen and Story festival is a chance for us to celebrate short films from creatives all around the globe. With the coronavirus situation, the film industry has felt a lot of pain, with productions stopping left right and centre we wanted to celebrate the excellent work that talented individuals are doing around the world.”
The Global Film Industry is running the event with the kind support of volunteer screenwriters, producers and directors.
Submissions can be made via this form - https://forms.gle/6qDWUCDzf9KXndw28. Entries close midnight(BST) on Friday 28th August. Full festival line up to be announced on Tuesday 1st September.
