15TH ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL BLACK FILM FESTIVAL Sept. 30-Oct. 4 2020

The International Black Film Festival is proud to celebrate 15 years in 2020. While the world is trying to get back to some level of normalcy from the spread of COVID-19, we want to continue our mission to provide relief to content creators by extending our platform, virtually, to inspire and inform.

What better way for us to do this than to create a live, virtual Interview Series that features one-on-one, special conversations with cast, crew, industry executives and influencers from Film, TV, Music and more.

In these unprecedented times, much of the work in the entertainment industry and arts communities is at a standstill. Movie and theater productions have halted, deals have slowed down to a crawl, TV shows, concerts, and art shows have been reduced to up-close Zoom Video calls.

Well, we feel it's important to check in with you, our creative community, to see how you're doing. Join us for "Creators Check-In", an interactive, virtual discussion, moderated by Poet and Actor Michael "Diallo" McLendon via Facebook Live on Thursday, June 11th at 7:00 pm CST on how the industry professionals, independent Content Creators, and Creative Communities are keeping their skills and talents alive. Guests to be announced soon.

We know that this is a tough time. Now more than ever people need to be inspired, to feel hopeful. And what better way to do so than to share your art, your story with the world.

We invite filmmakers from all over the globe to submit their projects to be considered as an “official selection” during the 2020 festival. Call for Film is still open, just simply click below to submit your project now.

Stay encouraged, stay inspired, keep creating in spite of our current circumstances. This too shall pass.
