Submissions are now open for the eight edition of SR Socially Relevant™Film Festival New York scheduled March 15-21, 2021. Close to 400 films from 35 countries have screened to date. The festival's seventh edition took place online from June 18-28 with LIVE "Meet the Filmmakers" sessions that you can see here. An international jury of 25 professionals picked the winners of SRFF 2020. Spokespersons of SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival NY include Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, Erin Brockovich, Martin Sheen, Pulitzer Prize, and Tony award-winner Robert Schenkkan, best-selling French novelist Marc Levy, Academy Award Nominee and Emmy Award Winner Guy Davidi, American TV personality, author Gretchen Carlson. The mission of SRFF is to provide a platform for filmmakers who create socially relevant™ film content. It was founded in 2013, as a non-profit 501(c) 3 film festival, by actress/ filmmaker Nora Armani in response to the proliferation of violence and violent forms of storytelling.
