Dear IFFLA Guest,

Given the recent developments around coronavirus, IFFLA has made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone this year’s Festival from April 1st-5th to a later, to-be-determined date in 2020.

Please note, we are NOT canceling the festival; we are postponing it. In doing so, we stand in solidarity with leading cultural institutions and festivals as well as the recommendations of the CDC and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, by taking proactive steps towards combating the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The well-being of our guests, partners and staff is paramount. We will continue to closely monitor the situation for the best timing to reschedule the festival later this year.

Even though this decision comes with a financial burden on us, we have decided to issue full refunds including any service and credit card fees to all ticket or pass purchases. Ticket/Pass buyers will be automatically refunded the cost of their entire purchase. The funds will return to their accounts within 5-8 business days, depending on the credit card company.

In case you would like to make a donation to IFFLA, you may do so here. Your support during this time of our mission to promote cinema from India and the Indian diaspora will help us bear these additional financial implications and come back stronger.

BIG thank you to all our staff, filmmakers, sponsors, patrons, trustees, theater venues, vendors, volunteers and community partners who have been so supportive of our decision and are ready to come back as soon as we set the new dates.

We look forward to a robust return! :-)

Best Regards,

Christina Marouda
Chair of the Board, IFFLA
