FESTIVAL 2015
The 2015 Film Festival was a huge success. Almost 500 people attended the Festival to watch showings of original short films submitted from around the world. To begin the festivities in the Black Box Theater, Salt Lake County's Canine Mayor, Tex graced us with his presence for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The rest of the day flew by with top films screenings, celebrity canine actor presentations, a filmmaker and judge panel, and, of course *drum roll* - the Awards ceremony, including a People's Choice award!
The festivities extended to the lobby, with a silent auction, raffle, sponsor and rescue organization tables, face painting, while rescue videos played on the big screen.
The festival was an entertaining day celebrating animals, but it didn’t stop there! Proceeds from the Festival went to Best Friends Animal Society to help companion animals find forever homes and support their No Kill Utah (NKUT) coalition with other rescue organizations and shelters.
